Notice of Board Vacancy

As of March 17, 2011, there are TWO vacant positions on the Newark Co-op Board of Stewards. 

The Board seeks members in good standing to run for two interim terms (through November 2011). 

Candidates for the interim positions will be elected through democratic process at the Co-op Store Meeting May 19th, 2011.

NUTRITION:  What does pH have to do with it?

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark's Green Sanctuary Committee and Newark Natural Foods Co-op have teamed up to present an Ethical Eating Series on the first Saturday of each month through April. This 3-part series will explore the concept of ethical eating in regard to consumer awareness, responsibility and choice. Local experts will speak on a variety of topics including the local food movement, organic farming, fair trade principles, and vegetarianism.

Co-op Swap 'n' Shop

Newark Natural Foods has begun a monthly Swap 'n' Shop program! On the first Sunday of each month participants can exchange gently used and new goods like children's clothing, gardening tools, books and more. (Look below for the monthly schedule of items to be swapped.)
