Newark Transitions Toward Sustainable Future

Transition Culture

In response to climate change and peak oil, the Transition Town movement is growing rapidly around the world. Communities are discovering choices they can make that lead to a sustainable future. Following suit, the Newark Natural Foods Co-op, Pacem in Terris, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark, and Cool Cities Delaware have teamed up to present Transition Town Newark: From Oil Dependency to Local Resilience, a five week sustainability series featuring movie screenings, workshops and presentations.

"Through the collective, intentional efforts of many individuals, a healing momentum can transform our planet into the radiant life source that it is intended to be." ~ Patty Ceglia, Permaculturist

The Transition Town series will be held each Saturday in May from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Meadow, Community Room at the Co-op. For more details, view the Transition Town flyer.
